Holiday Gift Ideas

It’s the morning after Thanksgiving, and you’re getting your holiday gift ideas in order. You have some families for whom you get something quirky or funny and others for whom you get something nostalgic, unique, or personal. Holiday gift shopping is challenging because you want to get everyone something special, but ultimately, it’s about the reactions—the joy, surprise, and sheer delight.

Everyone has that one relative who is impossible to shop for or that friend who has everything, but you want to get them that special something. Whether you are looking for holiday gift ideas or more something handmade, here are some fun ideas to get you started!

Holiday Gift Ideas

Holiday Gift Ideas for Tech Lovers

  • For people whose hands always freeze, rechargeable hand warmers are now in your pocket and can last up to 20 hours. I’m getting some for my frozen-fingered mom!
  • Cinephiles would love this mini, transportable projector. It’s perfect for taking on camping trips, backyard movie nights, or, in my case, everyday TV.
  • One of the best gifts for tech lovers is the 3-in-1 Charging Station. It allows you to charge a watch, phone, and headphones in one place. It’s the best!

Affordable Holiday Gifts (Under $25)

  • For those who run warm (like me), there’s now a portable neck fan to keep us cool.
  • Personalized picture frames are a great gift for friends and family while also giving them a memorable moment.
  • Baked goods like holiday cookies or even a mix, like a cookie mix in a jar.

Eco-Friendly Holiday Gifts

  • Wooden Kitchen utensils are a great gift idea; wood is better than plastic.
  • Swedish dishcloths are an invention I didn’t know I needed until I had them. They are so affordable and easy to wash.
  • I received reusable makeup pads that have been a game-changer for me. I throw them in the washing machine, which is perfect for re-use.
  • Metal Straws are MY FAVORITE. If you have a friend who is into mixing drinks or, for my friend, walks around with an insulated beverage without a straw, this is a fun surprise.

Experiential Holiday Gifts

  • Buy tickets to a concert, musical, or sporting event! One of the best gifts I ever bought my family was tickets to the Book of Mormon.
  • There are also private classes for cooking, pottery, or city tours that are super fun.
  • Another great option is a weekend stay at one of your favorite hotels in town.

Old Reliable Holiday Gift Ideas

  • Puzzles: I get my grandmother a puzzle as a holiday gift every year because one, she’s obsessed, two, they are good for you, and lastly, they are so much fun!
  • No one can have enough socks or slippers. I got these compression socks for my mom; they are great for people with poor circulation.
  • Coloring books is a great activity for people, especially if they have a long drive home or just need to relax and take their minds elsewhere.
